What can I put in a Soft Skip? Timber, (timber with nails, plasterboard, plastic, metal, clothing, furniture, computers, garden rubbish, general household and even whitegoods - etc.
What can't I put in a Soft Skip? Bricks, concrete soil or tiles - it's a weight limitation of the cranes used to pick up the loaded Soft Skips. We also will not accept asbestos or other hazardous waste.

Can I put a washing machine or large item in the Soft Skip? You sure can, but this could waste a lot of valuable space. Just put it next to the filled Soft Skip and for a small additional fee we'll take it away. But you are welcome to put it in the Soft Skip if you want.
What if I don't know how much rubbish I have? Sometimes its difficult to work out quanties of rubbish and once you start you may find that you have more than you first thought. Just take additional Soft Skip(s) and any unused will be refunded. We have also introduced a system we like to call POFSU - Pay Only For Space Used . After the first skip, we'll charge by the half skip ($80 - for up to half a Soft Skip, $139 for an additional full skip).

Yes, with sharp objects like nails, glass etc - but it doesn't matter . It does not diminish its use in any way and because of its unique design we can still lift the Soft Skip with the crane and remove all your unwanted rubbish
How do the sides stay up so that I can load the Soft Skip?
By turning the top edge of the Soft Skip out and down to the ground the sides will stay up firmly enough to load. This method also halves the height and allows you to step into the skip and load to maximum efficiency. Load it like a suitcase and build up, pulling the sides up as you go.
Where should I place the Soft Skip?
Place the oft Skip in a sensible position for pick up. It needs to be within 2 metres of the truck, truck access has to be clear from fences, parked cars and tight corners or drives. Please be aware of overhead obstructions as we use a crane to lift the soft skip. *Only place the Soft Skip on the nature strip if you have checked with your Council and have a permit if needed. Give us a call if you’re in anyway unsure - its easy!

What if I have awkward or heavy items additional to my Soft Skip load? Easy, peasy. Just let us know so that we can allow the room on the truck when we pick up. Additional items will cost the following - mattress -$25, washing machine/dryer/dishwasher $20, one door fridge or freezer $20, sofa 2/3 seater $40 and an armchair $20. Hope this gives you an indication - just call us if you need to know more or if you're unsure.
Can I pick up a Soft Skip if I need it straight away? Absolutely. At this stage 7eleven on the corner of Oban and Ringwood-Warrandyte Rds in North Ringwood and BP in Park Orchards are pick up points fot the Soft Skip, we hope to expand this network in the very near future.
